How to reach the conference place

From Barcelona “El prat” Airport

Barcelona International Airport, El Prat, is situated 18 Kilometers south from the city center. You can reach the conference location using the following:

By Taxi

Travelling by Taxi is a low cost and convenient way to get from the airport to the city centre, especially if you have a family or a lot of luggage. You will find a taxi rank outside any of the main terminal exits Terminal 1 (T1) or Terminal 2 (and of the 3 buildings of Terminal 2 - T2A, T2B or T2C). Look for the sign pointing to the nearest taxi rank. The taxis operate all night and there are several hundred of them so you don't have to worry about not being able to catch a cab. The journey to the city centre will take you between 20 to 30 minutes depending on road conditions. If you are travelling from Terminal 1 rather than Terminal 2, this will add an extra 4 kms to your journey and take approximately 5 minutes more. The fare should be around 35 € (additional fees may apply during night time). The price could be higher due to traffic jam.

By Subway  (Metro)

Barcelona has an excellent underground transport service. The city boasts an integrated rail transport network which allows any number of travel combinations and which is continually being improved in order to achieve better mobility. This network connects the centre of Barcelona to each one of the city's neighbourhoods, as well as providing access to its surrounding cities. Many of the stations provide access for the elderly or people with reduced mobility in the form of street-level lifts. So you need only choose the means of transport that suits you best. You can check the underground map to find out which station takes you closest to where you want to be. The can be reached through the following lines:

Line 1: Stop at Plaza España (exit street Creu Coberta)
Line 3: Stop at Plaza España (exit street Creu Coberta)
